Game Jam 2013- Live Blog Part Four: Afternoon Update of Delicious Food, Shark Balloons and Sleepy People
Come playtest with us! As games become more developed we’re going to to need some spare hands. If you couldn’t make it to orientation but are no regretting missing out, even a few hours can be a lot of fun.
If ‘come hang out and play games as they are developed in a 48 hour period’ doesn’t get you excited, here’s a picture of a remote control shark balloon.
One of the best parts of Game Jam is the FOOD! Last night was pizza, this morning was bagels and fruit, this afternoon was a marvelous sandwich spread, and we’ve got chili and burritos tonight. Our wonderful resident chef Mickey informed me that “the green chili has got hominy instead of beans, because we certainly don’t need fifty farting game devs under one roof.”
Can’t argue with that.
Devin, Mickey’s young friend is the youngest person at Game Jam today at 12 years old. She’s been helping around the kitchen and took the time to make us a smiley face cookie platter. Devin also reads The Walking Dead and loves video games!
The second sleeper creepshot of the 2013 Game Jam goes to Gizmaul’s group leader Jon.
And the third creeper sleeper shot goes to Zachery, a game dev who is working solo to create his own game called Bay Assault.
Everything is fun and games here at Game Jam… here’s proof that there’s games going on too, not just fun!
