Wes Ehrlichman. I’m an Agile Java/C# programmer at Asynchrony Solutions (and wannabe indie game developer)
I’ve been a member of the St. Louis Game Developer MeetUp group since its resurrection in July of 2010. I helped lead the organizers of that group toward the idea of a GameJam and even set up this site. Now I’m helping to organize this thing.
Just last year’s STL Game Jam. I programmed and designed Passing Blame, a 4-player Bomberman-like game where you’ve got to help your opponents to claim victory for yourself.
I love making games, but rarely have the discipline to finish them. A 24-hour restriction helps me keep my scope small and my ideas crazy and innovative.
I’ll probably be working with an artist and using XNA. If the theme inspires me I’ll be making a terrible Full Motion Video game like the early days of CD-Rom!
Metroid Prime, Super Mario 64, Katamari Damacy, Street Fighter Alpha 3, and Halo 3
My dream for the STL Game Jam is that it unites the currently dispersed St. Louis game development communities and helps create a unified Indie Game Development scene. So if you want to be part of something big be sure to sign up!
