Twine Jam 2014
Tonight the St. Louis Game Developer Meetup Group had a one hour Game Jam using a tool called Twine for interactive storytelling. We spent 30 minutes going through a short tutorial together, split off into several one to three person teams where we made games for a little over an hour, and came back together to demo the results. The theme was “The worst thing that happened today was ______.” Here are the games!
- Burning Down the House by Maffitt McDonald and Cynara Ellis
- Caturday by Carol Mertz
- Could Be Worse by Stephen Hmiel
- Depth by Don Gato
- The End Times by Srdjan Grubor
- Race to Westport Plaza! by DnA
- Today was a good day(here is where I would try to write a lot of na nas or do dos to try and make you think of the song) by Andrew Rauscher
- When I Tried to Escape by Jenny Gibbons
- WORST DAY EVER! by Tims and Stuart
- Your work day by Wes Ehrlichman
- Some game by Scott Petrovic that never got demoed and he won’t send me. Bug him about it!
It was a really fun night, and I think these games show off the talent and diversity in our community. There’s really something here for everyone, particularly if you’re into dying at the end of a story. If you were at the event and you want to update the author names or upload a new version of your game please let Wes know. Now get to playing the games!
